About Me

Hi! My name is Heather Ryder (pseudonym H. M. Ryder). I’m an indie romantasy author and I love blending elements of high stake, grimdark fantasies with romantic undertones. My debut novel, A Soul In The Shadows, was released in December, 2025 and I am so proud of how it turned out! 

I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where  I’m currently working on the second book in the ASITS series. This next installment will most likely close out the series, however, I do have a spin off type story I would love to write that takes place before the events of book one. I also have a list of ideas I aim to work on as soon as I am ready to round out the events in the kingdom of Viridia!
